After studying jewelry design and immersing myself in the vibrant Antwerp diamond district, I realized while diamonds hold undeniable allure, my true passion lies with the magic of gemstones. Their rich colors, unique energies, and timeless stories have captivated my heart from the very beginning.
In February 2017, I took a leap of faith and founded Rue Romantique. Though new to the world of business, one thing was clear—I wanted to craft jewelry that resonates deeply, using gemstones that speak to the soul.

WHAT IS GOLD VERMEIL ?
At Rue Romantique, all our jewelry pieces feature gold vermeil, which is a thick layer of gold (typically 18k) plated over sterling silver, a precious metal. This combination offers intrinsic value and a higher quality status compared to brass, and stainless steel, which is prized more for durability than inherent worth. Gold Vermeil creates a rich, luxurious look similar to solid gold but at a more affordable price point.
